Black Beans


Each Monday I share an easy and yummy recipe using Mirepoix.  Find out how to make Mirepoix here.  I think you'll enjoy how simple your cooking becomes.


We love black beans, but for this recipe, you can substitute your favorite variety.

Put one bag of Mirepoix in a crock-pot with a one pound bag of rinsed beans.
Fill with hot water.
Add salt to taste.
Cook for 6-8 hours on high.


That's it!  For real.  Your beans will have great flavor and a good dose of veggies in them.  Serve your beans with cornbread for a cozy winter meal.
